Happy Holidays and Safe Travels jolenemac455, December 11, 2018 Howdy all my fellow full-timers out there! Hope you are traveling safe and have found your camping places over the next couple of months. If you are headed to Florida we hope you have confirmed reservations as we are generally full all through the next couple of months. If you don’t have one or have a workamping assignment already set up then you might want to consider buying our book and find you a volunteer placement. Volunteering is always a great way to spend a couple of months in some of our most beautiful public land areas, help out the personnel and keep these areas available for the rest of the visiting public. You can learn new skills, meet more interesting people and contribute to our natural resources in a very real way. https://jbmstore.jolenesbooksandmore.com/downloads/insiders-guide-to-campground-hosting-in-florida-parks We have used these assignments in the past to help us visit the areas we would not otherwise get a chance to see any other time. Yes, we get a free campsite in exchange for working at whatever assignments the park personnel give us and sometimes we even are given extras along the way but the real value of these experiences is that ability to be in these public land areas as either the only personnel there or in a crowd of very nice people all just hanging out and enjoying nature. We are still in the process of updating our Workamping in Florida member website but it is really coming along. We hope you will check it out as well. No matter how you get here we hope you enjoy your stay, contribute where you can and travel safe all along the way. HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
